SUP Lessons on Maui
Every SUP lesson has a duration of one and a half hours. It is open to all ages and is available from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. Regarding the class size, you can freely choose what you like. We have three lesson options: group lessons, semi-private lessons, and private lessons. During the session, you can learn the proper techniques, posture, and standing, so you don’t fall quickly in the waves.
With the guidance of our assigned experts, you can become comfortable dealing with the water and on the board. You can also enjoy Maui’s ocean playground, where you see life underwater, such as Hawaiian fish, sea turtles, whales, and much more. Although learning could take a long time to master, you need to understand that the process is worth it when you can unlock your skills one step at a time.

Essential things that you can learn in an SUP Lesson
Booking a stand-up paddle board lesson in Maui is one way to keep yourself on the right track. As much as you want to skip the tutorials and jump into the water, learning the proper ways to do paddleboarding from a professional is the best way that you can do for yourself. At Sea Maui Surf, we offer this kind of lesson to help every individual master the fastest-growing sports in the place. So with that, here are a few things you will learn in the SUP lesson.
Expertly get back on the board
Getting on and backing on the board can sometimes be challenging as you need the strength and endurance to keep doing the same thing repeatedly. Also, it can be too hard if you are on your first try, as the board floats away while trying to get on it. But once you have learned the tips and tricks from the instructor in the surfing lesson, it will be easier for you to do it on your own. And when you can ride on the paddleboard, it’s time for you to do the paddleboarding.
Do proper balancing
One of the essential skills that you need to master when you do paddleboarding is your sense of balance. As getting on the board can be hard at the very start, standing up on the board is a lot different if you know how to position yourself. But if you are having trouble standing, the stand-up paddle board lesson in Maui is the best choice that you need to take. The instructor will teach you how to get the hang of the water to have a proper balance.
Master the paddling and turning
Once you can achieve the proper balance while you are on board, it is time that you master paddling and turning. Remember that the paddle is your spoon, and the water is your soup. If you can hold your paddle just like how firmly you do on your spoon, you can move forward well. But if you feel like something isn’t right, then the best way to do it is to book a paddleboarding lesson that would teach you how to go straighter, take turns and reach forward on either side.
Maintain a safe paddleboarding
Like other water sports and activities, you need to keep yourself safe when paddle boarding. The best way to do that is to take a lesson on the proper ways to do the activity. You are taught to be calm and maintain good paddle boarding without causing any boat traffic. In addition, you can also find the best location to do the activity where there is not much wind, current, or waves.
